2 MacArthur is a 203,000 square foot, nine-story Class-A building in the South Coast Metro submarket. Ocean West acquired 2 MacArthur in June 2019, shortly after closing on the acquisition of its neighboring sister property, 1 MacArthur. The property is fully occupied with over 80% leased to the State of California on a long-term 20-year lease that runs through 2039. The State houses numerous departments in this building including the Department of Industrial Relations, the Department of Health Care Services, and the Employment Development Department, among others. 2 MacArthur shares an on-site café, fitness center with locker rooms and showers, conference space, and structured parking with the neighboring 1 MacArthur building to create a unique creative campus. The property was sold to Boyd Watterson Asset Management in September 2021, but Ocean West retained the Property Management assignment.
